The State Archives of the Lviv Oblast published 50 files of the Faculty of Theology of the Jan Kazimierz University in Lviv

The files contain research papers, articles, reviews, lectures, bibliographies, obituaries, and memoirs of professors, students, and scholars of the university and other institutions.

In October, the State Archives of Lviv Oblast published on its official electronic resource 50 files F.26. op.8 of the Faculty of Theology of Jan Kazimierz University in Lviv. The documents contain orders, circulars, minutes, reports and other materials reflecting the educational process and organisation of the faculty, as well as statistics, diplomas and certificates.

In addition, the archive has been digitised:

  • 180 files R-3258, op. 1 – Investigative Department of the NKVD in Lviv oblast (criminal cases of 1939-1950)
  • 141 files F.2, op. 1 – National Archival Fond 2, description 1 “Magistrate of the Royal Capital City of Lviv”
  • 1191 files of F.26, op.5 – personal and pension files of the teaching staff and employees of the Jan Kazimierz University in Lviv.

Another important contribution to the DALO e-resource was the publication of 9 inventories:

  • F-35, op. 7 – Governorate of the District of Galicia in Lviv.
  • F-26, folio 11 – Jan Kazimierz University in Lviv.
  • F-597, folio 1 – Lviv Voivodeship Inspectorate of the General Directorate for Mutual Provision, Lviv, Lviv Voivodeship.
  • F-7, folio 2 – Lviv Poviat Starostwo, Lviv.
  • F-1, folio 58 – Lviv voivodeship administration, Lviv.
  • F-2, op. 27 – Magistrate of the Royal Capital City of Lviv.
  • F-27, op. 1 – Lviv Polytechnic / Faculty of Land and Water Engineering: personal files of students.
  • Р-3229, fn. 37 – Department for the Evacuation of Ukrainian, Polish, Czech and Slovak Population under the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR.
  • F-1143, op. 1 – Sambir Prosecutor’s Office at the District Court, Sambir, Lviv Voivodeship.

“Every month we work to expand access to the archives by digitising and publishing new materials that preserve our history. Thanks to our efforts, users from any corner of the world can easily access documents that previously required physical presence in the archives,” said Iryna Martens, Director of the State Archives of Lviv Oblast.

The State Archives of Lviv Oblast continues to work on scanning and publishing other materials from the archival collections.
