Drohobych Region Hosts International Forum ‘Carpathian Sea’

Drohobych Region has become the central venue for the international forum “Carpathian Sea of Freedom”, which unites important initiatives for the future of the Carpathian region. The forum brought together national, regional, community, and business leaders. A notable guest was Lord Maurice Glasman from the United Kingdom, underscoring the high calibre of the event.

The official opening took place in Truskavets, at the “Mirotel” hotel. Greetings were expressed by the head of Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, and local community leaders, particularly from Drohobych, Truskavets, and Skhidnytsia. Key topics regarding the region’s development are being discussed, such as the support and integration of internally displaced persons, as there are over 200,000 in Lviv region.

An important event took place in Truskavets at the “Karpaty” hotel and resort complex, where discussions were held on housing and employment for displaced people. Drohobych community was represented by Taras Kuchma, Ivan Terletskyi, Volodymyr Chuba, Andriy Pautynka, and Oksana Matchyshyn. These representatives are involved in working with displaced people. Also present were public organisations and ministry representatives.

The forum in Drohobych Region will continue its work, highlighting important issues for our society.
