The Ukrainian film festival organized by Arthouse Traffic and the Lviv Film Commission is taking place in the Hotkevicha Palace (1 Kushevicha St.).
The festival includes screening of 4 films. Two movies, Home and Bad Roads, were shown in August, and 2 more this week. Admission to film screenings is free, but registration is required.
The following films are waiting for the visitors:
“Rhino” (dir. Oleg Sientsov, 2021, drama/crime) – September 4 at 6:00 p.m.
The events of the film take place during the “bad 90s”: discotheques, gangs and crime. In these conditions, the main character faces a choice – to be either a victim or an attacker. Is this the right choice and what responsibility awaits the Rhino?
“The Hero of My Time” (directed by Antonina Noyabrova, 2018, comedy) – September 8 at 6:00 p.m.
This is a story about a typical dream of “conquering the capital”. Naive idealist Zhorik is trying to find his place in the glamorous life of Kyiv. However, it turns out that the image of the dream capital does not coincide with the image on the openings.
