In 2022, the Galician Academic Chamber Choir celebrates its 30th anniversary. Also this year, the 70th anniversary is celebrated by the permanent leader of the choir, People’s Artist of Ukraine Vasyl Yatsyniak.
On this occasion, on May 30, the team gathered all the friends and fans of the Lviv National Philharmonic. The choir performed choral works by Ukrainian composers.
Vasyl Gladkyi, Head of the Department of Arts and Development of Culture of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Lviv Regional State Administration, thanked the head of the regional state administration for high professionalism, development and popularization of choral art and on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of creative activity.

The creative biography of the Galician Academic Chamber Choir has a bright and rich thirty-year history. In 1991, the famous Ukrainian choirmaster Vasyl Yatsyniak founded the Credo Chamber Choir and the SoLi Deo Choir of the Lviv Museum of History and Religion in Lviv. It was they who laid the solid foundation of today’s “Galician Academic Chamber Choir”, already known both in Ukraine and abroad.
In 2002, these two groups were reorganized into a municipal chamber choir. For a relatively short period of creative activity, singers and soloists of the choir under the direction of artistic director and chief conductor of the choir, Honored Artist of Ukraine Mr. Vasyl Yatsyniak have reached a high professional level. The choir’s creative output includes priceless masterpieces of national choral music, works of Ukrainian and foreign classics, real treasures of folk choral singing.
