Native of the village of Hutysko-Turʼianske and honorary citizen of the Busk region Ihor Bohdan has been awarded the honorary title “People’s Artist of Ukraine”.
This title was conferred by Decree of the President of Ukraine No.532/2026, signed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The state award was presented to Ihor Bohdan on 4 July during a gala evening in Lviv by the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi.
As the organisers of the event emphasise, this distinction is particularly significant because Ihor Bohdan received it in the year of his artistic jubilee — the 50th anniversary of his stage career.
