
The Polish-Ukrainian congress of historians, taking place in Polish Baranów Sandomierski, has brought together around 100 researchers from both countries. The event is dedicated to the memory of publicist Juliusz Mieroszewski.
Various aspects of Polish-Ukrainian relations were discussed, as well as methods to strengthen mutual understanding between our nations. The congress was attended by Sviatoslav Sheremeta, head of the commission on culture, information policy and promotion of the Lviv Regional Council.
He reported on the progress of exhumation works, emphasising that the proper commemoration of the deceased Ukrainians and Poles is an important step towards a meaningful dialogue in the field of historical memory. This event highlights the importance of a professional approach to historical research.
