Lviv City Council has extended the deadline for applications to the nationwide competition for young male and female artists “You, Here, Now” with a prize fund of 100 000 UAH. Works can be submitted until and including 12 October 2026.
Authors from all over Ukraine aged 16 to 35 are eligible to take part. The competition welcomes both those who already have professional experience in art and young artists who are only just shaping their own creative practice.
The competition accepts works in the field of visual art: sculpture and spatial practices, painting, graphics, digital media, as well as performance art.
Following the selection process, three winners will be chosen to receive cash awards:
- 1st place — 50 000 UAH;
- 2nd place — 30 000 UAH;
- 3rd place — 20 000 UAH.
Applications can be submitted in several ways:
- through Lviv Administrative Service Centres;
- as an electronic request on the Lviv City Council website;
- by post to the address of Lviv City Council: 79008, Lviv, pl. Rynok, 1.
Organisers suggest obtaining additional information about the competition conditions on the Lviv City Council website or by email at upr.culture@lvivcity.gov.ua.
The City Council also reminds the public that this year the municipal programme to support young artists, originally adopted back in 2024, has been updated. It now covers a wider range of young authors and art forms, and three winners are selected in the competition, each of whom receives a cash distinction.
