Lviv Region to Create a New Identity for Ivan Franko

For the 170th anniversary of Ivan Franko, a new identity for the Great Stonecutter will be developed in the Lviv region.

Students from the graphic design department of the Lviv College of Arts named after Ivan Trush will work on the visual image. The first step was a visit to the Franko House in Lviv, where young designers immersed themselves in the life and worldview of the writer.

As part of their qualification work, students will develop a modern identity for Franko’s anniversary year. Museum institutions of the region will assist them in implementing their ideas. “The image of Franko is both a challenge and an opportunity to show him as modern, lively, and relevant today,” said the Lviv Regional Council.

The next location for creative inspiration will be the Ivan Franko estate in Nahuievychi.
