Lviv National Philharmonic named after M. Skoryk joins charitable and volunteer initiatives

Not only the cultural front: M. Skoryk Lviv National Philharmonic Society joins charitable and volunteer initiatives

Since the first days of the war, the Lviv National Philharmonic named after M. Skoryk has been actively involved in charitable and volunteer initiatives.

Anyone who had the opportunity to attend the Philharmonic events after February 24 could see many boxes of humanitarian aid in the lobby and the Lyudkevych Concert Hall. From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, the Philharmonic became a humanitarian headquarters, bringing aid from all over the world and from where it went to the front.

Also in the first weeks on the Philharmonic facade you could see posters with the results (original reports) of the rich and tireless work of the staff team.

Later, small chamber symphony concerts were added to this activity, followed by large symphony concerts of the Muses Are Not Silent project. The events of this project were aimed at helping musicians who remained in Ukraine and suffered from the Russian invasion.

The logical continuation of this trend was the 41st edition of the International Festival of Musical Arts “Virtuosos”, whose slogan was the motto “Ukrainian muses are not silent”. 11 events of the festival can be viewed online in different parts of the world and if you wish to donate money to support Ukrainian musicians. At the same time, the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Among the artists and employees of the Lviv Philharmonic are those who went to defend Ukraine with weapons in their hands. Fundraising for the needs of their units was also organized for them. The Philharmonic tells about such initiatives on the official pages of the institution on social networks.

The Lviv Philharmonic also helps various charitable organizations and military units directly financially. In particular, the latest donation was sent to the NGO “Families of Fallen Heroes of Lviv Region” and the 103rd Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine:

The NGO “Families of Fallen Heroes of Lviv Region” and the 103rd Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine express their sincere gratitude and heartfelt gratitude for providing financial support to meet the needs of the brigade. Today we are all volunteers and with our work we are helping in the difficult confrontation of our people against the Russian invaders. We continue to work and bring our victory over the enemy closer! ” – it is said in the text of gratitude.

In this difficult time for Ukraine, it is important to do everything in our power: to do our job faithfully and professionally and to actively help our Defenders. This is the only way we can bring such an expected Victory over the enemy closer!
