The Lviv Museum of the History of Religion invites you to visit the festival of organ and chamber music: program

During the next two weeks, from January 5 to 19, the piano, organ, flute, violin, guitar, and vocals will play for visitors.

The Lviv Museum of the History of Religion invites you to immerse yourself in the world of beauty by attending the second Christmas festival of organ and chamber music “DONA NOBIS PACEM – GIVE US PEACE”. The main leitmotif of the festival is a joint prayer for peace in Ukraine, for the soldiers who protect our Motherland from invaders.

The leading Ukrainian organist Olena Matselyukh, soloists Antonina Lisogorska and Olga Fenyuk, as well as Olga Striletska and Svitlana Pozdnysheva will capture the hearts of listeners with the music of the world’s greatest composers: Friedrich Hendedy, Johann Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Amadeus Mozart, and others. Kyiv guitarist Andriy Ostapenko invites listeners to a colorful program of Latin American and French music. And it will be complemented by author’s poems of composers and art paintings by Olga Kuts, which visualize the expression of the guitar.

For those who seek pacification and enjoyment of ingenious simplicity, the festival program includes spiritual works.

Festival program:

January 5 at 15:00 – “AMAZING GRACE”. Olga Striletska – organ, piano, Olena Matselyukh – organ. The program includes the hits of Western European classics by T. Frank, P. Makhaidik, J. S. Bach, and G. F. Handel.

January 6 at 12:00 – “HOLIDAY EVENING” (solo organ concert). Ihor Matselyukh – organ. They will sing: J.S. Bach, T. Dubois, G. F. Handel, L. Boelman, T. Albinoni, J. N. Lemens.

January 7 at 15:00 – “SOLI DEO GLORIA”. Antonina Lisogorska – soprano, Olga Striletska – organ. The program includes carols of the peoples of the world, as well as works by J.S. Bach, H. Handel, A. Vivaldi, and V. A. Mozart.

January 8 at 3:00 p.m. – “VIRGIN OF THE MOTHER OF GOD, REJOICE.” Olga Fenyuk – soprano, Liliana Stadnyk – flute, Olena Matselyukh – organ. The program includes European and Ukrainian classics and carols of the peoples of the world.

January 13 at 15:00 – “SILVA RERUM”. Svitlana Pozdnysheva – organ, piano, Olga Striletska – organ. The program will feature piano and organ miniatures, organ duets, and piano four hands and four feet.

January 14 at 15:00 – “NOSTALGIA”. Oksana Stechyshyn – piano, Olena Matselyukh – organ. The program will include piano and organ music, original compositions, duets and carols

January 15 at 5:00 p.m. – “A. Vivaldi 4 SEASONS AND THE SPANISH CLASSICAL GUITAR.” Andrii Ostapenko – guitar (Kyiv), Marta Gerega – violin, Olena Matselyukh – organ, Olga Kuts – painting. The program will include works by L. Brauer, E. Villa-Lobos, A. Barrios, E. Sati for classical guitar and A. Vivaldi.

January 19 at 3:00 p.m. The closing of the festival is “JESUS MY JOY”. Olena Matselyukh – organ, Olga Striletska – piano, organ. The program will feature the best hits of Western European classics.
