The day before, the Luhansk Regional Philharmonic Quartet visited the St. Luke’s Hospital of the First Medical Association of Lviv. In order to support military personnel undergoing treatment and rehabilitation, the musicians played a mini-concert.
This performance is one of the initiatives in Lviv to thank and maximally support Ukrainian military personnel who are currently undergoing treatment or rehabilitation in city hospitals. For example, earlier in Lviv, the city rehabilitation program “The City Heals” was introduced, thanks to which defenders undergoing treatment have the opportunity to go on city tours, visit interesting museums, castles or exhibitions, go to a concert, visit a cinema, etc.
It will be recalled that the musicians of the Luhansk Philharmonic were evacuated to Lviv last year at the beginning of March. Since 2014, they have been working in the city of Severodonetsk, but due to a full-scale Russian invasion, they were forced to flee. Musicians from Lviv and Luhansk worked on a campaign to boycott Russian artists abroad, and also organized concerts in Lviv and outside Ukraine in support of musicians who were forced to flee their homes.
