On 2 August 2026, on Bila Hora near the village of Pidlyssia, beside the Memorial Cross, the traditional spiritual and artistic celebration “Light of Markiyan” is planned, dedicated to commemorating the Awakener of Galicia, Fr Markiyan Shashkevych.
For those wishing to attend, the Busk City Council is organising a free bus. Departure is scheduled for 10:00 from the Busk City Council building.
Participants are invited to join in common prayer, take part in the cultural programme and pay tribute to the figure of this outstanding Ukrainian enlightener.
