A Western Ukrainian evacuation and restoration center is being established in the Lviv region, which will serve as a hub for preserving cultural treasures.
This center will be located on an area of over 1600 square meters, where special equipment for storing museum valuables and restoring cultural monuments will be installed. “The Culture Rescue Hub is a demand of the times,” the organizers note.
The project has united museums from five regions, and partners from Germany have already provided equipment worth over €300,000. International experts will work in the center, workshops and training spaces for new restorers will be created, as there is a catastrophic shortage of qualified specialists in this field.
