On 23 August, Ukraine’s State Flag Day, the Art Festival “Known/Unknown Lviv Region” will take place on the grounds of the communal institution of the Lviv Regional Council “Administration of the Historical and Cultural Reserve “Ancient Zvenyhorod”.”
The event aims to unite communities across Lviv region and showcase their culture, traditions and local distinctiveness. To this end, each community will prepare its own themed space.
The festival programme includes presentations of Ukrainian borshch prepared according to both traditional and original community recipes, performances by folk ensembles, as well as the launch of a new television project, “Known/Unknown Lviv Region”.
During the event, participants will honour Ukrainian Defenders and publicly thank those who are currently fighting for Ukraine’s independence and freedom. The event starts at 13:00.
The festival is organised by the Lviv Regional State Administration and the Lviv Regional Council, with TRC “Pershyi Zakhidnyi” acting as co-organiser. Residents and guests of Lviv region are invited to visit the Historical and Cultural Reserve “Ancient Zvenyhorod” and join the celebrations of Ukraine’s State Flag Day.
