
In Lviv region applications for the Stepan Bandera Regional Award are being accepted until the end of August. The distinction is intended to support people and institutions that work to consolidate Ukrainian statehood, develop civil society, science and important socio-political initiatives. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Council.
Candidates may be nominated by civic, political and academic organisations. This year, the laureates will be selected in three categories: civic activity, political activity and scientific and educational activity.
The winner in each of the three categories will receive a cash prize of 40,000 hryvnias. The document package for each candidate must include at least three written recommendations from representatives of the public, or the political or academic community.
Documents are accepted in person at: Lviv, pl. Parubiia, 1, office 318, as well as by email at info@lvivoblrada.gov.ua. Detailed terms and conditions of the competition are available on the official website of the Lviv Regional Council.
The Stepan Bandera Regional Award was established in 2012. The Lviv Regional Council is calling for the active nomination of candidates who have made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian statehood.
