Applications are being accepted until 31 August for the regional prize named after Hero of Ukraine Stepan Bandera. Candidates may be nominated by civic, political and academic organisations. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Council.
The prize is intended to recognise individuals and institutions whose work contributes to the consolidation of Ukrainian statehood, the development of civil society, the implementation of socially and socio-politically important initiatives, as well as the advancement of academic thought in the field of state-building.
This year, the laureates will be selected in three categories:
- civic activity;
- political activity;
- academic and educational activity.
In each of the three categories, a cash prize of 40,000 UAH is foreseen for the winner. To take part in the competition, applicants must, in particular, submit at least three written recommendations from respected representatives of the public, or the political or academic community.
Documents are accepted in person by the standing commission of the Lviv Regional Council on Education, Science and Innovation at: Lviv, Parubiya Square, 1, office 318, as well as by email at: info@lvivoblrada.gov.ua.
The regional prize named after Hero of Ukraine Stepan Bandera was established in 2012. The Lviv Regional Council calls on organisations to take part in the competition and to nominate people whose achievements make a significant contribution to the development of the Ukrainian state and the strengthening of democratic institutions.
