The NGO “Successful Lviv Region”, with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, is starting to develop a mobile application “Lviv Region. Unique Heritage”.
The project’s mission is to promote the region’s cultural heritage sites.
Lviv region has more than 800 cultural heritage sites. About 500 sites will be available in the app. Tourists will be able to use various filters to select the places they want to visit: museums, nature reserves, castles, and parks. In addition, there is a function to create routes and select interesting objects nearby.
The app is scheduled to be completed in October. It will be available on all mobile operating systems and will work both online and offline.
I believe that this app will be useful not only for foreign tourists. It will also serve as a new type of tourism, which I am convinced is very promising for the Lviv region. During the full-scale invasion, a lot of internally displaced people came to Lviv region. This application will help them to travel on weekends and get acquainted with the cultural heritage of Lviv region”, , added Sviatoslav Sheremeta, Head of the Cultural Commission of the Lviv Regional Council.
The app “Lviv Region. Unique Heritage” will be available in Ukrainian and English.
