A memorial “Garden of Remembrance” and a new public space will be arranged on Trakt Hlynianskyi Street in Lviv. The Lychakiv District Administration has been designated as the client for the works, as stated in a decision of the executive committee of the Lviv City Council.
The memorial space will be created on a vacant plot near a sports ground in the Provesin microdistrict. The initiative comes from relatives of fallen servicemen who lived in this area and were killed defending Ukraine.
According to the head of the Lychakiv District Administration, Yurii Lukashevskyi, the concept for the space has already been developed and includes, in particular, the planting of trees. Local entrepreneurs are expected to take part in the implementation of the project, while part of the costs will be covered from the city budget.

The new public space will be located between Bihova Street and Trakt Hlynianskyi. It is also planned to install lighting poles on the section between Trakt Hlynianskyi and Bohdanivska Street. All works will be carried out in accordance with the concept approved by the Department of Architecture and Spatial Development.
Earlier, road works were completed on Trakt Hlynianskyi Street: pavements were repaired, the most problematic section of the water supply network was replaced, the old asphalt surface was removed and two new layers of asphalt were laid.
