You can view traditional Christmas symbols of large sizes in the Church of the Exaltation of the Honest Life-giving Cross of the Lord and on Independence Square until February 2, the feast of the Epiphany.
The largest outdoor Christmas shop in the region was installed in Zolochiv on Independence Square. Shopka, which serves as a great photo area, has an area of about 90 square meters, there are about thirty figures of different heights, from 30 to 170 cm.
It was established by the Lesser Franciscan brothers on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the establishment of the first nativity scene by Saint Francis in the city of Greccio.
“Traditionally, the largest indoor Christmas tree in the Lviv region is installed in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Life-giving Cross of the Lord in Zolochiv. This year, the structure is 8 meters long, 6 meters wide, and 7 meters high. More than 500 elements are presented here: moving figurines, buildings and other decorative elements,” says the head of the tourism and promotion sector of the Zolochiv City Council, Ulyana Gulyovata.
The nativity scene recreates Bethlehem, the city where Jesus Christ was born. The shop is made up of many hand-crafted structures made by the Franciscan Fathers, complemented by moving figures and brought to life by professional lighting in 2,000 shades.
Shopka can be viewed daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. until February 2, the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Life-giving Cross of the Lord, located on St. Shashkevycha M., 13.
