In the Urban library, a workshop on creating sketches was held by UA Comix and Education Centers as part of the “Get in Touch” cooperation project between the twin cities of Lviv and Freiburg.
The theme of the workshop is “Sustainability. Courage. Invincibility”. The results of the work will be made into posters, which are planned to be exhibited in Lviv and Freiburg.
The participants of the workshop were selected on a competitive basis and worked intensively for two days with the trainers of the UA Comix team, which is professionally engaged in the creation of sketches in Ukraine. In particular, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, UA Comix has been publishing the magazine Inker, a periodical of social sketches, which appeared as a reaction to the need to reproduce Ukrainian reality in graphic form after February 24.
The topic is “Resistance. Courage. Invincibility” – should unite the paintings created by the participants, which are designed to illustrate different dimensions of the strength and resilience of Ukrainians. Stories of eyewitnesses, personal experiences, chronicles of war – all these are subjects that can be depicted in the visual means of paintings.
