Stryi People’s Amateur Drama Theatre “Perelaz” of the Municipal House of Culture gave a successful performance at the nationwide festival-competition “Formula of the Stage”, which took place in the city of Khmelnytskyi, and brought home the victory.
The company presented the production “Vinhrany” for the jury’s consideration. The staging by the Stryi ensemble won first place in the “Poetic and Musical Composition” category, and also received the festival’s top award — the Grand Prix.
A special distinction went to theatre actor Dmytro Zaritskyi, who was recognised as the best male performer.
The community notes that the success of the Perelaz Theatre testifies to the revival of local theatre traditions and the return of the Stryi stage to the active cultural life of Ukraine.
