A photo exhibition entitled “Not Born for War” has opened at the Warrior’s House, dedicated to the servicemen of the 82nd Separate Air Assault Bukovyna Brigade who have been killed, are in Russian captivity or are considered missing in action. The exhibition tells the stories of the defenders and their families through personal testimonies and photographs.
The photographs show the soldiers before the full-scale invasion and during their service, as well as moments from the lives of their loved ones. The organisers emphasise that the exhibition is intended to serve as a reminder of the high price of freedom and to support the families of service personnel who are still waiting for their relatives to return.
The opening of the photo exhibition was attended by deputies of the Lviv Regional Council Mykola Bilyak and Oreslava Khomyk, clergy and relatives of the servicemen. During the event, those present paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, spoke about the importance of public support for prisoners of war and those missing in action, and stressed the need to preserve the memory of every defender.
“These Heroes were not born for war. They were born to live, to love and to create. But when the Homeland called, they rose to defend it. Let us remember the fallen, support their families and never lose hope for the return of those who are still in captivity or considered missing,” said Father Mykola Bilyak.
