In Drohobych, during the celebration of Embroidery Day, a new national record was set: 1,713 embroidered towels were collected. This achievement was the result of efforts by pupils, students, and local residents united by the common goal of promoting national culture.
The event began at Rynok Square with a group photo, followed by a parade of embroidered shirts organised by the education department of Drohobych City Council as part of the “Mother’s Towel” initiative. Student youth and educational institutions at various levels actively participated in the event.
The national record was recorded by Lana Vetrova, the head of the National Register of Records of Ukraine, who confirmed the success of the occasion. Such activity once again highlighted Drohobych’s commitment to Ukrainian traditions and culture.
