In the settlement of Kulykiv in Lviv district, a commemorative evening was held to mark the 85th anniversary of the birth of Bohdan Stupka — an outstanding stage and screen actor, a native of Kulykiv whose talent became a treasure for the whole of Ukraine.
Participants in the event laid flowers at the monument to Bohdan Stupka. Hats, which became a symbol of his stage characters, were featured, while the festive atmosphere was enhanced by theatrical miniatures, recollections of the artist’s relatives and friends, Lviv jazz, and a photographic retrospective from various periods of his life and creative work.
The event brought together admirers of the theatrical arts. Among the guests was Merited Artist of Ukraine Yurii Chekov, who shared his own memories of Bohdan Sylvestrovych Stupka.
The Kulykiv settlement council of Lviv district stressed that for the local community Bohdan Stupka remains not only a world-renowned actor, but also a fellow countryman whose memory is cherished and passed on to future generations.
