July 22 marked the 10th anniversary of the death of the People’s Artist and Hero of Ukraine Bohdan Stupka. On Friday, July 22, 2022, in Kulykov, in the building of the historical and local history museum “History of Kulikov and Kulykivshchyna”, a memorial plaque to the memory of an outstanding Ukrainian was opened and consecrated.
Residents and guests of the community gathered at the event, including the well-known poet Bohdan Stelmakh and deputy of the Lviv Regional Council Andriy Duma
Bohdan Stupka was born on August 27, 1941 in Kulykov, studied in Lviv. He graduated from the acting studio at the Lviv Academic Drama Theater named after Maria Zankovetska and worked in this group until 1978. Later, he headed the Kyiv Ivan Franko Academic Drama Theater. From 1999 to 2001, he was the Minister of Culture and Arts of Ukraine.
During his career, the actor played more than 100 roles in movies.
In 2011, Bohdan Stupka was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the State Order for his significant personal contribution to the enrichment of the national cultural and artistic heritage, many years of fruitful creative activity and high professional skill.
