In Lviv, Forum Unites Military Writers

This year, Lviv hosted the VIII All-Ukrainian Military Writers Forum, bringing together participants from across Ukraine. The forum gathered servicemen, veterans, journalists, as well as writers. They discussed the experience of war through literature, theatre, and memory.

The event was organised by the Lviv Regional Youth Library named after Roman Ivanychuk. The city mayor, Andriy Sadovyi, acquainted himself with the participants, discussing the importance of comprehensive support for veterans — psychological, social, and cultural.

During the forum, there were literary meetings in schools and communities, an interactive performance of the play “Lift Director” by the Theatre of the Unbroken, as well as author readings. Grigoriy Fedosenko and Roman Dronyuk were among those awarded the Vasyl Palamarchuk Literary Prize.

At the conclusion of the forum, participants emphasised the importance of supporting and spreading veteran literature in Lviv. The event became a platform for exchanging experiences and support among military authors.
