Presentation of a Guide on the Supergraphics of Sykhiv in Lviv

A printed guide entitled ‘Supergraphics of Sykhiv’ has been presented in Lviv, detailing the history of the district, its planning, and the visual characteristics of its residential neighborhoods.

The publication includes high-quality photos of the supergraphics, mural photos, maps, and walking routes for self-guided tours. The exhibit includes a two-hour walking route through the district. This is the result of a two-year study by Yaryna Korotkevych, a resident of Sykhiv. Sykhiv has more than 70 buildings featuring supergraphics — geometric, abstract compositions, and other images. All objects were documented in collaboration with photographer Anastasiia Pavlenko.

“The Sykhiv massif is the only district in the city, and one of the few in Ukraine, where color zoning is a significant element of urban planning. The deeper I delved into urban studies, the more I began to focus on and explore the visual characteristics of my native district, of which there are many,” says the project author Yaryna Korotkevych.
