The 33rd Lviv International BookForum will take place in Lviv from 10 to 13 September. The festival programme features over 300 events with the participation of more than 200 authors at more than 15 locations across the city. All events will be free of charge for visitors.
The main theme of this year's BookForum is "The Responsibility of Literature". The organisers have prepared eight thematic clusters, including "War Literature", "Historical", "Poetic", "Photo Books" and "Translation as a Practice of the Future". Particular emphasis will be placed on war literature, the language in which Ukraine speaks about the war, and reflection on the concept of "Victory".
The festival events will take place in various cultural spaces in Lviv, including institutions of the Lviv Regional Council: the Lviv Regional Universal Scientific Library, the Roman Ivanychuk Lviv Regional Library for Youth, the Lviv Regional Children's Library, the House of Franko – Franko House, the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion and the Lviv Palace of Arts Lviv Art Palace.
The Lviv Palace of Arts will host the "Publishers' Forum in Lviv" book fair, where visitors will be able to purchase new titles from Ukrainian and international publishers.

The festival's key events will be streamed live on the BookForum YouTube channel. During the event, funds will also be raised to support the "Khartia" brigade.
The event is organised by the NGO "Publishers' Forum". The holding of BookForum is supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, the International Renaissance Foundation, "Ukrainian-Jewish Encounter", the Lviv Regional Military Administration and the Lviv City Council.
