In Lviv and Dublyany, approval has been granted for the installation of eight more memorial plaques in honour of Ukraine’s defenders who were killed while defending the state. The relevant decision was taken at a meeting of the executive committee of Lviv City Council.
The plaques will be placed on the facades of educational institutions where the fallen soldiers studied, as well as on buildings connected with their lives.
In Lviv, memorial signs will be installed for:
- Yevhen Buchma — at 90 Naukova St, on the building of Lyceum No. 46 named after Viacheslav Chornovil;
- Ivan Voronych — at 31 Hetmana Ivana Mazepy St, on the building of Secondary General Education School No. 30;
- Stepan Melnyk — at 48 Hnata Khotkevycha St, on the building of the Sykhivskyi Lyceum;
- Roman Sydor — at 48 Hnata Khotkevycha St, on the building of the Sykhivskyi Lyceum;
- Pavlo Sokolov — at 48 Hnata Khotkevycha St, on the building of the Sykhivskyi Lyceum;
- Yurii Osadchuk — at 50 Heroiv UPA St.
In Dublyany, memorial plaques will be installed for:
- Ivan Kot — at 21 Tarasa Shevchenka St, on the building of the Dublyany hub lyceum named after Hero of Ukraine Anatolii Zhalovaha;
- Sviatoslav Kravets — at 21 Tarasa Shevchenka St, on the building of the same lyceum.
The memorial plaque in honour of Yurii Osadchuk will be installed jointly with the Veterans’ Centre, after which it will be transferred to the balance of LKP “Lvivskyi Likhtar”.
