Lviv is hosting a unique exhibition that combines Ukrainian and Belgian art.
The exhibition “post-System: Painting and Photography on the Verge of Control” will open on January 10 at 4:00 PM at the Lviv Municipal Art Center. Visitors will be able to view the exhibition until February 28 every day from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM for free. This project is the first in Ukraine to unite contemporary Ukrainian and Belgian art in a single curatorial expression.
“This project is an important diplomatic and cultural step…”, said Roksolana Mytsko, Director of the Lviv Municipal Art Center.
**Concept (post-)System** explores various manifestations of control in art. The project is based on the manifesto of Jan Van Wunsel, inspired by the theories of Ludwig Wittgenstein and Jean Baudrillard. The manifesto emphasizes that all artworks are always subordinate to their own system.
