Photo Exhibition “Charter: Heat” Opens in Lviv

In Lviv, at the City Museum, the documentary photo exhibition “Charter: Heat. 11 Views on War” has started. The exhibition includes 40 photographs, mostly taken in the summer of 2025 at brigade locations: stabilisation points, during combat missions and training. The exhibition is open to visitors from today until 8 May.

The curatorial team is led by the authors: serviceman of “Charter”, writer and public figure Serhiy Zhadan, brigade serviceman and photographer Roman Pashkovskyi, and cultural projects expert Dariya Kryzh. They aim to show the military as real people with their vulnerabilities and hopes.

Mayor Andriy Sadovyi noted that such projects are important for understanding the war through the personal stories of service personnel. The exhibition is located in the Town Hall’s underground, which is not always open to visitors due to the war. After Lviv, the exhibition will travel to Kyiv, where a charity auction will be held to support the brigade.

Exhibition hours: Mon – Thu: 17:15–21:00, Fri: 16:15–21:00, Sat – Sun: 10:00–21:00. The “Charter” unit was established at the start of the full-scale war in 2022 as a volunteer formation within the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
