In Lviv, for the first time since its showing in Kyiv, the interactive exhibition “That Day” from the Ukraine WOW project has been unveiled. The display is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s Independence and allows visitors to experience the events of that historic day in a completely new way.
The exhibition runs at the Lviv Palace of Arts from 26 September to 11 October. The organisers have gathered dozens of unique exhibits, including the original Independence Flag, the symbols of presidential power, the Constitution of Ukraine, the championship belt of Oleksandr Usyk and the sabre of Olha Kharlan.
A separate part of the project is devoted to modern technologies: visitors can use VR to “raise” the State Flag above the dome of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, immersing themselves in the atmosphere of the moment when independence was proclaimed.
The creators conceived it not only as a historical but also as an emotional display, helping visitors to better understand the significance of the events associated with the birth of the modern Ukrainian state.
