On March 15, the famous National Merited Bandurists of Ukraine named after Heorhiy Maiboroda will perform at the Lviv National Philharmonic. The team dedicates its event to the outstanding Ukrainian Taras Shevchenko, because these days, traditionally, for more than two hundred years in a row, the memory of the Ukrainian Kobzar is commemorated annually all over the world.
The Bandurists’ Chapel is one of the oldest Ukrainian professional ensembles and was founded in 1918 by Hetman Pavlo Skoropadskyi. During this time, she became an integral part of our musical history, performing concerts all over the world.
Now the band is actively involved in supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, performing charity concerts in Europe: Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany and other countries.
The concert in Lviv will be part of a large-scale all-Ukrainian tour in honor of Taras Shevchenko, which will cover 13 cities.
“Our program “Love your Ukraine…” will be powerful and interesting. We can promise for sure that you have definitely not heard such emotional and melodic, new songs based on the familiar poems of Taras Hryhorovych!
