In the village of Slavske, located in the Lviv region, a new Ukrainian record was set for cooking the largest volume of Hetman-style borscht.
The record was officially registered in the category “Largest Volume of Hetman Borscht.” The total amount of the prepared dish reached 317 liters. As a result, this culinary event earned a place in the Ukrainian Book of Records.
The initiative was not only a celebration of food but also aimed to promote Ukrainian culture and cuisine — especially borscht, which is recognized by UNESCO as part of Ukraine’s intangible cultural heritage.
