The opening of an exhibition dedicated to the vyshyvanka as a symbol of Ukrainian resilience took place at the Stryi Local History Museum “Verkhovyna”. The exhibition features unique shirts of liberation fighters, dissidents, and notable cultural figures associated with Stryi, including Vera and Petro Obal, Zenoviy Krasivsky, and Ivan Popovych.
During the event, distinguished guests spoke, sharing memories about the formation of statehood and the role of vyshyvanka in the national identity. Among them were ‘Honoured Citizen of Stryi’ Liubov Kaminska, as well as Olha Solomakha-Korchak, the daughter of Dariya Korchak and sister of Hero of Ukraine Andriy Korchak.
