This became possible thanks to the support of Polish colleagues from the “Let’s Preserve Heritage” foundation.
This organization from the city of Lublin first came to Ukraine in 2018 to help Ukrainian museum workers preserve their history. This time, such an opportunity fell to Galicians as well. We started with Stry. Thanks to modern equipment, the museum workers primarily digitize biographical information about residents, church statistics books, valuable manuscripts and important documents from museum and private collections.
However, it is important not only to take a high-quality photo, but also to save it reliably. For this purpose, this year, using the funds of the city budget, Strya museum workers purchased the necessary equipment for the preservation of their funds.
