The laureates of the 2026 municipal arts awards have been selected in Stryi. As reported by Stryi City Council, the winners were chosen by secret ballot of the competition jury.
The P. Obal Prize this year will be awarded to artist Liliia Lunyсh. The Ye. Olesnytskyi Prize has been awarded to the head of the folk dance ensemble “Stryianochka”, Oleksii Borovnytskyi.
The O. Bachynska Prize has been awarded to volunteer Nataliia Palenychka. The O. Nyzhankivskyi Prize will go to the composer duo of Mykhailo Zolotukha and Roman Nykyforiv.
At the same time, it was decided that the O. Bobykevych Prize will not be awarded in 2026.
All laureates of the municipal arts awards will receive distinctions from the head of the community during a ceremonial session of Stryi City Council. Each of them is also to receive a one-off cash award of 20,000 UAH.
