In Zhovkva, during the celebration of the City Day and the feast of Saint Martyr Parthenios, two achievements were recorded that entered history.
World Record – “Zhovkva Peace Rosary” with a length of 15 meters. Ukrainian Record – the largest pair of embroidered candles with a height of 130 cm.
Both creations were made by master Galyna Kovalska, who is already known for her unique works. She is the only one in Ukraine with five recorded embroidery records: Christmas balls, Easter eggs, a sphere, candles, and the peace rosary.
During the ceremonies in Zhovkva, the memory of 30 fallen Heroes was also honored, and their families were awarded the title of Honorary Residents of the community. “This is a reminder that each holiday is primarily about memory and gratitude”, noted the Zhovkva City Council.
