The photo exhibition “Easter” was opened in the Italian courtyard of the Lviv Historical Museum, where about 30 works by photographers of the Lviv branch of the National Union of Photographic Artists of Ukraine were presented. The curator of the exhibition was Roman Herynovych, a Lviv photographer and employee of the Lviv Historical Museum.
The subject of the works is Easter. The works represent Ukrainian national traditions from Palm Sunday to Easter: consecration of vines and Easter baskets, parties, church services, etc.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Ivan Sobko, Deputy Head of Lviv OVA, Iryna Havryliuk, Director of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of LOVA, and Tetyana Plugator, Deputy Director.
“This exhibition reflects our customs and traditions, a part of our identity, for which we now pay a high price. But I am sure that this march of Muscovites to our land will be the last.
Our warriors of light and good are now destroying all evil and bad, and we must pray for them, for victory. War is very scary. But you have to want to live! We must have the desire to live and continue to implement interesting artistic and cultural projects! ”Said Ivan Sobko.
The exhibition is located on the balcony of the second floor of the Italian courtyard and is available for viewing for a month.
According to Roman Chmelyk, director of the Lviv Historical Museum, the exhibition reflects what awaits us – victory, the Resurrection of Christ, our reproduction.
