Craft Workshop for Families of Missing Defenders

The Craft Workshop United Families of Missing Defenders

On April 6, the mothers and sisters of missing Defenders from the \”Living in Expectation\” initiative in the Sheptytsky community participated in a craft workshop. The meeting was organized by artists-restorers from the Museum of Religious History at the Potocki Palace — Olena Truliaieva and Iryna Koval.

Creating Pysankas as a Symbol of Hope

Each participant created her unique pysanka — a symbol of life, hope, and love. For most, it was the first experience with wax and paints, so they attentively followed the artists’ advice. The process required concentration, patience, and precision, but it captivated everyone without exception.

Pysankas as a Talisman and Prayer

In this atmosphere of shared warmth and comfort, where each line was drawn with love and thoughts of the dearest ones, pysankas became more than just Easter decorations — they transformed into a prayer, a talisman, a hope that families will reunite once again.
