A Didukh Is Being Installed in the City Center for Christmas

Today in the city center, municipal workers began installing a didukh.

For one and a half months, the couple Halyna and Vasyl Herus from Volytsia created the Christmas sheaf, or, as it is also known popularly, the didukh, approximately four meters tall. To bring their idea to life, the craftsmen wound high wooden bases with spikes of wheat, rye, and oats. Notably, this year’s didukh is taller than in previous years—almost a whole meter higher.

And tomorrow, the municipal workers will be installing the Christmas nativity scene. So, let’s prepare for Christmas…
