Lviv MAN Students Win Victories at International I-FEST Festival

Lviv Students Win Awards at International Competition in Tunisia

Students from the communal institution of the Lviv Regional Council ‘Lviv Regional Small Academy of Sciences for Youth’ are among the winners of the International Festival of Engineering, Science, and Technology ‘I-FEST’.

Achievements of Lviv Students

The science competition took place from March 21-27 in the Republic of Tunisia. The event attracted 1200 scientists from 40 countries around the world.

‘The gold medal was won by Sofia Alania, a member of the chemistry section of the Lviv Regional MAN, an 11th-grade student at LFML.

  • Bronze medals were awarded to: Justyna Dugina, a member of the mathematics section of the Lviv Regional MAN, a 10th-grade student at LFML;
  • Dariy Kuzminsky, a member of the chemistry and biology section of the Lviv Regional MAN, an 11th-grade student at the ‘Lviv’ Lyceum LMR;
  • Sofia Manko, a graduate of the mathematics section of the Lviv Regional MAN, a first-year student at NU ‘Lviv Polytechnic’;
  • Anna Oryshchak, a member of the chemistry section of the Lviv Regional MAN, a 10th-grade student at LFML.

Honorable mentions were received by: Bohdan Ohrodnik, a member of the physics and astronomy section of the Lviv Regional MAN, an 11th-grade student at LFML; Andriy Yablonsky, a member of the information technology department of the Lviv Regional MAN, an 11th-grade student at Lyceum No. 45 LMR’, reported the Lviv Regional Small Academy of Sciences.

Overall Success of the Ukrainian Team

The Ukrainian team, which included students from the Lviv Regional Small Academy of Sciences for Youth, consisted of 30 young scientists from 14 regions of Ukraine. This year our boys and girls won 31 awards, including 4 gold medals, 8 silver, 12 bronze, and 6 honorable mentions.
