An artistic evening dedicated to the anniversary of the start of a full-scale war was held in the Warrior’s House

February 24 marks exactly one year since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of the territory of independent Ukraine. On the occasion of the anniversary, an artistic evening “365. What does unbreakable sound like.”

The event began with the performance of the National Anthem and a moment of silence for all the newest Ukrainian Heroes, all freedom fighters during the last nine years of the war against Russian terror.

The program of the artistic evening was made up of patriotic songs performed by the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Pyotr Sagaidachny. Among the songs performed: “Ukraine will win”, “Forward brothers”, “I have no home”, “Good evening, we are from Ukraine”, “Stefania”.

With the participation of the musician Shumei, the no less famous Ukrainian songs “Malva”, “There, near the poplar” and the song “Tryvoga” written during the Great War were also played.

Afterwards, there was a presentation of the exhibition of 22 front-line portraits by Vasyl Bychko. The artist joined the ranks of the volunteer formation “Karpatska Sich”. From March 7, he took part in the battles for the defense of Kyiv and the city of Irpin, and also fought in advanced positions in the Kharkiv region. Most of the author’s works were written in the trenches. Vasyl Bychko painted portraits of comrades, military journalists, defenders with whom he stood side by side in battle.

This evening is not only a reminder of the year of Ukrainian indomitability, it is also a reminder that Ukrainians have always been helped to overcome all trials by their native song.
