This concert will be the first event in a large-scale cycle of “quiet” projects – events without bright light or noise effects.
The Lviv Philharmonic started candlelight concerts, and on February 14, the first event of this series will take place – the concert “In the maelstrom of passionate tango”.
The event will be dedicated to the eternal and most beautiful feeling – love. Love, which was embodied in one of the most popular genres in the world – tango.
“Music that captures passion, inspiration and love in a whirlpool. Romantic candlelight atmosphere and sophisticated tango on Valentine’s Day! At the same time, guests of the event will be treated to champagne! And all this is included in the price of the ticket!”, the organizers noted.
The rhythm of passionate tango will lead the event and will be performed by the “High Castle” ensemble: from the passionate “Libertango” of Astor Piazzolla or the romantic “Petite fleur” of Sidney Bechet to the “lazy” tango of John Sullivan. Also on this evening, the author’s lyrical songs about love by the famous Ukrainian singer Iryna Doly will be performed. The passion of music will be conveyed in body plastic by a well-known dance couple consisting of Viktor Sokruta and Solomiya Kudyn.
“It will be a warm romantic evening, full of wonderful music and passionate tango rhythms. Candles that will decorate the concert hall will add a special atmosphere to it. During the intermission, guests will have the opportunity to chat, take photos with the artists in the lobby, and enjoy champagne. There will also be a romantic atmosphere here – two couples will dance, which can be joined by people who would like to try their hand at dancing,” says Andriy Yatskiv, artistic director of the project.

Zahid Concert Agency and Academic Instrumental Ensemble of Soloists “High Castle” are launching this series of concerts.
Such “candlelight” events will take place at the Philharmonic every month.
