Volunteering and performances abroad – theater named after Yu. Drohobych reported on his work in 2022.
In 2022, the Lviv Academic Regional Music and Drama Theater named after Yu. Drohobych presented 6 premiere performances.
In addition, theater artists performed in Poland and Turkey. At the invitation of the organizers of the 10th TAKSAV International Theater Festival, from December 8 to 20, 2022, the team presented the comedy “The Painter” by T. Giudzenoglu in Izmir (Turkey). The organizing committee of the festival noted the professional skill of the actors of the theater named after Yu. Drohobych with a special award. Another showing of the play took place in Istanbul.
Also, with the assistance and support of Ukrainian communities in the cities of Turkey, the team showed in Izmir, Bursa and Istanbul the theatrical performance “Mykolay is coming to us” for Ukrainian families with children, which was attended by more than 1,500 spectators.

Over the course of the year, the theater repeatedly showed performances for students of Drohobych schools, toured many cities of the Lviv region and Drohobych community with performances of the current repertoire for children and adults.
Last year, the theater showed 345 performances, which were seen by more than 26,000 spectators.
In addition to the main activities, with the beginning of the full-scale invasion, in February, the theater began active volunteering activities aimed at helping IDPs, and also organized a “theatre kitchen”, within which the team continues to purchase products, prepare homemade dishes and send them to the front lines for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine . The theater also attracts sponsors and cooperates with other volunteer organizations in this direction. So, for 2022, the team collected more than UAH 500,000. own funds for the needs of the “volunteer kitchen”. Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Bashtanka, Bakhmut, Zaporizhzhia, Svatov, Kreminna – this is an incomplete list of destinations where the theater sends hundreds of kilograms of smoked products, lard, pilaf, stewed meat, bread, sweets, etc. every week.
