The head of state reported on the preliminary results of the Munich conference on security issues. He thanked the Ukrainian defenders for the strong defense of the country.
Yesterday began with preventive power outages in some regions of our country. These outages were needed to protect networks and generation from another Russian missile attack. However, most of the territory of Ukraine remained with energy.
The day before, the second day of the security conference took place in Munich. The main topic of discussion: Ukraine, its victory on the battlefield.
“There are important statements of world leaders in support of our state, there are also signals of strengthening weapons for our defense. This applies, in particular, to long-range missiles, other weapons, and the long-term support of Ukraine. I am grateful to all the leaders for their support and for what happened yesterday. Russian aggression will have only one ending – defeat. The pressure of the world should be such that Russia does not have time to find new forms of terror,” the President of Ukraine emphasized in his traditional evening address.
Traditionally, the Head of State thanked everyone who is currently defending the country on the battlefield. The President especially praised those who are defending Donetsk region, because the most brutal and principled fighting is going on there. A confrontation on which a lot depends.
“I thank the paratroopers of the 79th Separate Assault Brigade, the Marines of the 35th Separate Marine Corps Brigade, the infantrymen of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, the soldiers of the 55th Separate and 27th Rocket Artillery Brigades. Thanks to all of you, warriors! Today, there is something to celebrate the fighters who operate in the Zaporozhye direction. 128th Separate Brigade of TrO forces – Thank you guys for repulsing the attacks! I would also like to thank all of our soldier signalmen today for their excellent service! To everyone who effectively and timely provides logistics for our troops, and to all the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!” – said Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
Over the past week, Ukraine has received strong signals from international partners, concrete agreements regarding the inevitability of holding Russia accountable for aggression and terror against Ukraine and its people.
“Every Russian attack on Kharkiv and the region, on Sumy region and Donetsk region, on Khmelnytskyi, on our Nikopol and every corner of our country will have specific legal consequences for the terrorist state. This applies not only to the evil that Russia brought from February 24, but also from 2014. We remember everything. We remember Ilovaisk, we remember the Donetsk airport, we remember the battles for Debaltseve – especially today – and every blow against our people. We have to restore justice. We will do it. Let’s do it together with the whole world,” concluded the President of Ukraine.
