The Dutch Foreign Minister visited Lviv Region to support Ukraine

The Dutch Foreign Minister Kasper Velkamp is on a working visit to Lviv Region. During his visit to Lviv Region, the representative of the Dutch government, Kasper Velkamp, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Serhiy Kyslytsia, Acting Head of the Lviv Regional Council Yuriy Kholod, Mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi, and Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi paid tribute to the fallen Ukrainian Defenders at the field of honorary burials at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv today, April 12.

Foreign guests and representatives of the Lviv Region laid flowers at the graves of the fallen Heroes of Ukraine.

They will all participate in a conference within the framework of the Ukrainian-Dutch dialogue on supporting Ukraine’s integration into the European Union. I thank the government and people of the Netherlands, who are in solidarity with Ukraine in our struggle», said Acting Head of the Lviv Regional Council Yuriy Kholod.

Support for Ukraine from the Netherlands

The people of the Netherlands consistently support Ukraine on the international stage, assist the Defense Forces, have transferred F-16 fighter jets, and participate financially in the ‘Drone Line’ project.

On the eve of this, with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine Alle Doorhout, the leaders of the Lviv Region discussed the possibility of assistance for the Veterans’ Hospital in Vynnyky, the Children’s Medicine Center, and other regional hospitals.

Economic cooperation and support for energy

Currently, more than 80 companies with Dutch capital operate in the Lviv Region. The Netherlands is interested in cooperation in various economic sectors, particularly the agricultural sector. Two weeks ago, the Dutch government decided to allocate 65 million euros to support Ukraine’s energy sector. This involves repairing enemy-damaged facilities and preparing for the new heating season.
