Youth Model of Lviv Region: Active Youth in Action

The Youth Model of the Lviv Regional Council took place in Lviv, bringing together active youth from the region.

Over two days, participants worked in committees, participated in plenary sessions, learned teamwork, and defended their positions. They also got acquainted with the decision-making process at the regional level and proposed their initiatives for community development.

Solomiya Loginska, head of the Lviv Regional Youth Center, who is currently in the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. She emphasized the importance of the project for developing civic consciousness and involving youth in decision-making processes.

Roman Khimyak noted that youth participation in such models is not only an educational experience but also preparation for real leadership: “The Youth Model of the Regional Council is a great opportunity to feel how decisions are made that impact communities. Here, a generation is formed that is not afraid to take responsibility and has its vision for the region’s development. These are the young people who will soon grow into real leaders.”

Tetyana Yushchyk, a student of the Faculty of Philology at LNU, was elected head of the Youth Model for 2025. She shared her impressions: “Some stereotypes about deputies were broken — there are many people here who genuinely believe in Ukraine’s future and are ready to work for it. I advise you not to be afraid to participate in such initiatives — the main thing is to be sincere and write from the heart.”

The initiative was implemented by the Lviv Regional Youth Center with the support of the Lviv Regional Council and the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
