President on the start of autumn: the government and the Rada must unlock $30 billion in support for Ukraine

The President of Ukraine stressed that the beginning of autumn, in the context of full-scale war, is a key period for completing all the necessary preparatory work for winter and ensuring a stable passage through the current and the following year.

According to him, this concerns the task of ensuring the defence of the state, timely social payments and the uninterrupted functioning of all the country’s main systems despite wartime conditions. To this end, Ukraine has the opportunity to attract substantial financial resources from international partners.

The President explained that unlocking these funds directly depends on decisions that must be taken within the country. In particular, the government must adopt 44 decisions that will make it possible to attract around $15 billion. He emphasised that the Prime Minister and ministers are aware of their personal responsibility for fulfilling this task and must ensure that all the necessary decisions are adopted by 1 November.

A separate area of work concerns the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The President noted that a further approximately $15 billion in support depends on the adoption of specific draft laws that open access to financing from partners. Thus, the total volume of resources that can be attracted thanks to coordinated action by the government and parliament amounts to around $30 billion.

The Head of State underlined that both government officials and Members of Parliament are well informed about these tasks and share responsibility before the citizens of Ukraine for the timely adoption of all the necessary decisions.
