
The Honorary Consulate of Romania has officially opened in Lviv, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations between the countries.
The opening ceremony was attended by diplomatic representatives, led by Romania’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Alexandru Victor Micula. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between Lviv and Romanian society. “Lviv is a historic city with which Romania shares deep cultural, historical, and economic ties”, the ambassador noted.
The institution is headed by Rostyslav Vovk, who highlighted the importance of economic cooperation. He announced plans to develop innovative projects with the participation of the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center. According to Vovk, the current level of cooperation between the regions is insufficient.
The Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, welcomed the opening of the consulate as a signal of international support for Ukraine. “Lviv is open to cooperation. We are ready to share our resilience experience”, he said.
